The Legacy Family Celebrates 15 Years of Community Radio
Our 15th Anniversary celebration on 23rd November 2024 was amazing. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the performances from Shola Ama and Sandra Cross rocked the room!
Otis Thomas, Managing Director of the T.A.P. Project, aspiring entrepreneur and tireless campaigner in the UK, USA and Africa, won the Community Trailblazer Award for his substantial contributions to the local community.
Jodeci won the DJ Choice Award with Natural Mystic winning the People’s Choice Award.
Longstanding DJs who have been with Legacy since the beginning, were presented with a certificate acknowledging and recognising their commitment and dedication to the station.
The night held special surprises – Legacy 90.1FM is now on DAB and has been successful in renewing its 5 year licence. The station can look forward to the next five years with confidence to a future with more listeners, more choices and an expansion of its community programming.
This celebration felt more like a beginning than a celebration of past achievements. After a long period of recovery from Covid and its aftermath, the station is looking forward to a bright future.
