Developing Legacy Projects

Developing community shows and projects starts with our listeners. They call in, text or email to tell us what they want us to talk about. They give us the ideas that develop into community projects.

Once we have secured funding for a project, we set about developing it. This involves allotting it a slot in our schedule which depends on the project. Some projects are for people who are at home all day, others are for people who might only be home in the evenings and weekends.

We keep our listeners in mind throughout the development stage to ensure that the project fits with what they have told us they want.

When we have delivered the project, we go back to the people involved in it to get their feedback. This helps us develop the next project. Some of the people we work with have been our partners for a long time so we know each other well and can organise projects quickly to respond to changes taking place in society.

Other projects take a long time to develop because we are working with new partners, or need to do a lot of research first.
